Handmade clothing
It is often difficult to see past clichés. Cobar is a mining town in the middle of New South Wales. Originally it was a copper mining town, but more recently other metals have been mined there. In an op shop in Cobar I found two baby dresses. One of these dresses was made in a boutique children’s clothing shop in Rome. I’ve remade both these dresses in wire-mesh which I’ve spray-painted copper emphasising the contrast between the masculine mining environment and babyhood.
These are stunning – wonderful, inspirational … thank you! =D
Very arty
Thanks 🙂
